J-K to train 40 lakh youth in skill development in 10 yrs

"A Skill Development Mission is being implemented in the state with a target to train 40 lakh youth in vocational education and diploma courses by 2022," Technical Education Minister R S Chib said.
As part of the Mission, the state has set a target to train 20 lakh youth during the 12th five year plan, he said while laying the foundation of a polytechnic college in Reasi district yesterday.
Chib said 16 polytechnic colleges sanctioned under Skill Development Mission in Jammu and Kashmir would become operational this year.
