J-K: Woman alleged rape by neighbour, accused arrested

A 24-year-old woman in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir has alleged that she was raped by her neighbour a few days back, police said today.

In her complaint lodged yesterday, she alleged that the man barged into her house in Lam village and after finding her alone, he assaulted her sexually, they said.

Acting on her FIR, police have arrested the accused.

A medical examination of the woman was conducted following the complaint, and the report is awaited, they added.
