Jaipur Police Commissioner J S Rao today suffered minor bruises in his leg in a mishap in Bajaj Nagar area here.
"I got minor injury in my leg as I was sitting on the front seat of the car when another car hit from opposite direction. I had first aid at my home as the accident place was not far away," Rao told PTI on phone when contacted.
"I am fine and doing my job in the office," he added.
A youth named Ayush (19) was driving the other car and hit Commissioner's car on a triangular road after entering from the wrong side around midday near a girls school in Bajaj Nagar, police said.
Rao was accompained by his gunman and driver when the mishap occurred. Cops from Bajaj Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Malviya Nagar police stations, including accident control, rushed to the spot.
Both the cars were detained, and an accident case would be registered against Ayush under section 279 of IPC for negligent driving, they said.
Police did not confirm whether the youth was injured.
