Renovated and modernized Abhinav Theater Jammu will be functional from November when it will reopen after a gap of nearly five years.
Minister of State for Culture Priya Sethi today chaired a high level meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, here and took note of the delay in the completion of the work of the theater.
Sethi said that fresh deadline of October 31 has been fixed and in the first week of the November the theater will be handed over to the general public, artists, writers and theatre activists in particular.

She said the theater has been centre of attraction for art connoisseurs and very soon the renovated complex would again abuzz with art activities.
"Cultural activities would be held on regular basis and the renovated theater would again become centre of attraction in the city," she said.
