Jat reservation issue: Haryana Cabinet calls all-party meeting today

An all-party meeting has been called in Haryana today to discuss the demands of Jat community leaders who are agitating across the state seeking reservation in government jobs.
At the end of an emergency Cabinet meeting which was presided over by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, state Agriculture minister O P Dhankar yesterday said, "An all-party meeting has been convened here tomorrow at 11 a.m to discuss the demand of reservation by Jats."
He said the Cabinet has appealed to the agitating Jats to call off their protests in the larger interest of the state.
Dhankar said, "The administration and police were fully alert to meet any eventuality and the government has kept all its options open to deal with the situation arising out of the ongoing sir."
