Jaya adorns statue of Muthuramalinga Thevar with golden armour

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today urged people to follow the ideology of freedom fighter and Thevar Community leader Pasumpon Muthuramalingam.

"His opinion is our policy and principle. We are following his path", she said adorning the statue of Muthuramalingam's with a gold plated armour.

The Chief Minister earlier greeted people who gathered at Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Samathi at Pasumpon Village in the district.

Earlier special prayers were offered at the memorial. A "sengol" (sceptre) made of silver was presented to the Chief Minister on behalf of the Memorial Committee.
