Jaya orders solatium to kin of BSF men killed in Naxal attack

Chief Minister Jayalalitha today ordered a solatium of Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of two BSF jawans hailing from Tamil Nadu, who were killed in a Naxal attack in Odisha.

Expressing deep anguish, Jayalalithaa conveyed her condolences to the families of M Ravichandran and G S Abilash and said she had ordered a solatium of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the martyrs.

Ravichandran belonged to Krishnagiri District and Abilash hailed from Kanyakumari District in Tamil Nadu.

Three BSF personnel and a civilian were killed yesterday and six others injured when Naxalities ambushed a patrol of the paramilitary force and triggered a landmine blast in the jungles of Malkangiri district in Odisha.
