Unidentified dacoits decamped with gold and silver ornaments from a jewellery shop here today and injured two persons including a woman in firing, police said.
The incident took place when armed dacoits entered the shop at nearby Kshipra locality and some people living close by woke up and raised an alarm, an Inspector said.
After finding themselves encircled, the accused opened fire to escape and in the process injured Jaya Soni (32) and Vishal Jaiswal (30).

They made away with 30 gram gold and 1 kilo silver jewellery, the inspector said.
He said the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and their condition was out of danger.
The inspector said the dacoits damaged the close circuit television (CTVV) installed at the shop.
A hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
