Jharkhand Guv pays tribute to slain jawan

Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed and senior officials today paid homage to the slain CoBRA jawan Santosh Kumar Singh.

Ahmed placed a wreath at the headquarters of the CRPF's 133 Battalion here.

Chief Secretary R S Sharma, Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar, Home Secretary N N Pandey, Inspector General of Police (CRPF) M V Rao, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Vinay Choubey and other senior officials saluted the departed jawan.

The jawan fell to the bullets of the Maoists during an encounter with the rebels in West Singhbhum yesterday.
