Jharkhand Revenue employee held on graft charge

An employee of state revenue department was today caught red-handed by the Vigilance sleuths while allegedly accepting bribe from a person in Chechari panchayat under Parwa block of Palamau district.

Vinay Choubey, the accused, was caught red-handed while accepting Rs. 2500 from one Devendra Bhokta for clearing a file related to his land, Deputy Superintendent of Police (vigilance) Surendra Khalkar said.

Chobey has been taken to Ranchi for further interrogation, he added.
