Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today expelled a party rebel who has filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Zadibal Assembly constituency of Srinagar.

"I expel Congress Party Worker from Zadibal Shahid Ali Kachroo, who is contesting election from the constituency as an Independent candidate, with immediate effect," JKPCC president Saif-ud-Din Soz said in a statement here.

Soz asked the electorate to vote for the party candidate Shameema Raina.

The JKPCC president also asked the voters of Sonawar seat to whole heartedly support the party candidate Khem Lata Wakhloo.
