JMM MLA and former minister Hemlal
Murmu today resigned from the party's primary membership, accusing the party of being surrounded by "flatterers" and "inexperienced" people.
"I have sent my resignation letter to the party as the JMM leadership is surrounded by flatterers and inexperienced people," Murmu, who was a minister in the erstwhile Shibu Soren and Arjun Munda governments, told reporters here.

The Barheit MLA criticised the party for reportedly considering giving a ticket to Vijay Hansda, who recently quit Congress and joined the JMM, from the Raj Mahal Lok Sabha constituency.
"I spoke to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and he assured me that my name was being considered for the Raj Mahal seat. But now I see in the media that the party is considering Vijay Hansda," an angry Murmu said.
Hansda is the son of late Thomas Hansda, who was a Congress MP and PCC president.
Asked whether he would withdraw his resignation if the Sorens requested him and allot the ticket, he said, "I have not thought about that."
Murmu, who was the general secretary of the party, said he would take a decision after discussing with his supporters when asked which party he would like to join.
