Judicial custody of five Maoists extended till Dec 21

The judicial custody of five Maoists, arrested in May last, was today extended by a court here till December 21.

The Maoists Roopesh, his wife Shyna and three others were arrested on May 4 from Karuimathapatti and lodged in the central jail here.

All the five were produced before Principal District Judge Pongiappan after expiry of the custody and the period was extended till December 21.
