Noted jurist and former Supreme Court judge V R Krishna Iyer turned 99 today.
Kerala Advocate General K P Dandapani, Director General of Prosecutions (DGP) K Asaf Ali, and some advocates from the state high court were among those who greeted Iyer at his residence here.
A sitting and a retired judge from the Madras High Court also wished Justice (Retd) Iyer on his birthday.
Odisha Governor M C Bhandare was among those who sent him email birthday greetings.
Kerala High Court Chief Justice Manjula Chellur will release the Festschrift 'A surfeit of Tributes to India's greatest Living judge' and a Lecture by Dr Justice Dhananjaya Y Chandarchud, Chief Justice Allahabad high court, would be held tomorrow in connection with the 99th birthday of Iyer.
