Actress Katherine Waterston has joined the cast of Ridley Scott's "Alien: Covenant", sequel to his 2012 box office success "Prometheus".
Plot details of the film have not been yet, but according to Fox Studio the principal photography of the project will be done in Australia's New South Wales, reported Deadline.
Shooting is expected to start early next year and the studio has scheduled the release date for October 6, 2017.
Michael Fassbender is expected to return to his role from "Prometheus" as the android David.
The film was set about 30 years prior to the events in Scott's 1979 movie "Alien.
