Khap leaders to press for reservation for Jats

Heads of around 150 khaps will convene a Mahapanchayat here on May 26 to discuss strategy for pressuring the Centre to announce reservation for Jats in government jobs.

"In February, union ministers had given assurance that reservation for Jats will be announced soon, but nothing has been done so far," Sarv Jat Khap Mahapanchayat leader Nafe Singh Nain told reporters today.

"In the mahapanchayat on May 26, around 150 khap leaders will strategise on how to pressurise the Centre for the quota for Jats," Nain said.
