Asserting that his government is committed to eliminating corruption and providing a transparent administration, Haryana Chief Minister today said that a number of schemes will be launched to mark 'Good Governance Day' on December 25.

"We will observe December 25 as Good Governance Day to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister A B Vajpayee," Khattar said on the sidelines of an event here.

"We will launch several schemes to ensure a transparent government. Besides, the government will announce online system to curb corruption," he said.

Khattar also vowed to take up the project of cleaning Ghaggar river with the help of Punjab government.

"We will clean the river Ghaggar, which meanders through Punjab and Haryana. We will find ways to bring the pollution level down so the state can reap benefits out of it," Khattar said.

Accusing the previous state government of playing with public sentiment, Khattar said his government is committed to the development of the state.

Khattar also said that Haryana will be made a sports hub as there is enormous potential.

"We will make Haryana a sports hub as the athletes will be provided with better training facilities and infrastructure," he said.
