The newly-appointed in-charge of Congress affairs in Telangana, R C Khuntia, today said leaders should shun their internal differences and work towards bringing the party to power in the TRS-ruled state in 2019 polls.
Khuntia, recently appointed the AICC in-charge for Telangana in place of party heavyweight Digvijay Singh, said Congress is sure to come to power in the state if party leaders worked with team spirit.
Speaking at a meeting of Congress' women and other cells, Khuntia said the state unit should take up agitations on the unfulfilled promises of ruling TRS, a party release quoted him as saying.

In an informal interaction with mediapersons later, the Congress leader indicated the party is likely to announce candidates six months in advance for the 2019 Assembly elections.
Reaffirming the leadership of PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, he said the Congress' central leadership is happy with the functioning of state leaders.
He indicated that Congress' central leadership would take a call on alliances for the 2019 polls and Reddy would continue to lead the party in Telangana.
