L&T commissions projects in Maharashtra, Rajasthan

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said it has commissioned two projects in Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

"L&T Construction's power transmission and distribution division has completed two projects -- 765 kV GIS (gas insulated substation) substation in Maharashtra and 765 kV transmission line and 765 kV air insulated substation at Rajasthan," a company release said here.

The GIS project is part of the transmission system associated with the Krishnapatinam UMPP to strengthen the grid connectivity through 765 kV Solapur sub-station as well as to strengthen the 400 kV power distribution in western India.

The 765 kV transmission line has been built between Anta (Baran)-and Phagi (Jaipur) for Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Prasaran Nigam , the release said.
