Labourer dies due to heat wave in Kapurthala

Blistering heat has claimed the life of a labourer here, doctors said.

The deceased has been identified as Satnam Singh (42), a resident of Sundernagar locality here.

Singh fell unconscious after returning from work yesterday, his family said.

He was immediately rushed to a local civil hospital where he died.

Civil Hospital Dr Gurmej Singh Sahota said Singh died after suffering a heat stroke.
