A large number of residents turned up at various booths located in the city today for registering as voters, in the seven assembly constituencies of Vadodara parliamentary constituency.
March 30 is the last date to enroll as a voter for elections to the seven parliamentary constituencies in the city scheduled for April 30.
In 2009, the city had recorded 49 per cent turnout during the Lok Sabha elections.

"We want to ensure maximum voter turnout and achieve the polling percentage of 65 per cent during the 2014 Lok Sabha poll," Vadodara district returning officer Vinod Rao said.
Rao said that 15.94 lakh voters have been enrolled according to the final rolls published in February.
