The grandson of late former union minister and renowned Dalit leader B P Maurya has been missing since July 31.

Subodh Maurya, a second year student of Bachelor of Business Administration, had gone to college on July 31 but did not return home, police said.

The missing complaint was filed by Subodh's father Ajay today at the Indirapuram police station, they said.

Subodh is a student of Mewat Engineering College and his family lives in Vaishali Sector 10.

"Subodh left for his college on Wednesday morning, but did not return. Police have put Subodh's mobile on surveillance, but his phone is currently switched off.

"We are questioning his friends and teachers to get some leads in the case," a senior police officer said, adding a look out for him has been initiated.
