Police have busted a liquor party at a farm house in Anklawadi village in Vasad taluka of the district and arrested 24 persons for consuming liquor, which is prohibited in Gujarat.
The action was taken late last night based on a tip-off by the local residents.
The arrested accused were consuming Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), police said adding that 19 bottles of alcohol were recovered from the spot.

"We had got a tip-off from local residents that some youths were playing DJ music and partying till late night at an under-construction farm house at Anklawadi village in Vasad taluka. We conducted a raid and arrested 24 people, who were consuming liquor," Anand Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Komal Vyas said.
The accused had come to enjoy the party from Vadodara in six luxury vehicles, which were seized along with the liquor bottles, all collectively worth Rs 98.8 lakh, the officer said.
The accused were booked under various sections of the Bombay Prohibition (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 2009.
