Lawyer robbed of car, cash on highway in UP

A Mathura-based lawyer and his family were robbed of their car, cash and valuables by armed robbers on the national highway here, police said today.

According to an FIR lodged with new Mandi police station, the incident happened yesterday when Manmohan Sharma was travelling along with his family to Haridwar from Mathura in his car.

Four persons stopped the vehicle, robbed the family of their cash and valuables, and made off with the car, on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway near here, according to the FIR.

SP (city) Santosh Kumar said a case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the criminals.
