Lawyers, practicing at the Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), today abstained from work seeking removal of the DRAT Chairperson.
The Bar body, which also seeks removal of a Presiding Officer of the Debt Recovery Tribunal, Chandigarh, said that that these two judicial officers allegedly misbehaves with the lawyers.
"There has been multiple instances of misbehaviour by the said officers with most of lawyers, hindering and incapacitating the judicial procedure," President of DRAT Bar Association B S Nagar said in a release.
It also alleged that the DRAT Chairperson passes "personal comments" against some lawyers appearing before him here.
