Lea Michele to play single mother in biker drama

"Glee" star Lea Michele is shedding her musical past for a new role on the final season of the FX series "Sons of Anarchy".

Michele, 27, is set to appear in the season's sixth episode as a truck stop waitress and single mother named Gertie who connects with Gemma (Katey Sagal) during a difficult time, reported Huffington Post.

"I'll be appearing on an episode of my favourite show 'Sons of Anarchy'! Thank you so much," she posted on Twitter along with a picture from the set.

Michele is only slated for one episode.
