A licensed revolver along with cash Rs eight thousand were allegedly stolen from the car of former Etah MLA Praja Palan Verma in the district, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when the former MLA parked his car at a crossing road in the city and went for shopping, Station House Officer, Etah city, Jamil Mohammad said.
According to the complaint, when Verma returned, he found a window of his car broken and the revolver and the cash missing, the SHO said.
A case was yesterday registered against unidentified persons in the case and probe is underway, police said.
