Two youths feared drowned in Yamuna river in UP

Two youths are feared to have drowned in river Yamuna at Kairana bridge in Shamli district, where they had gone to take a bath, police said today.

A group of 12 youths were travelling from Panipat district of Haryana and had stopped to take a bath in the river. While Rajesh was rescued, Mukesh (23) and Vinod (22) are to have drowned, SP Vijay Bhushan said.

A motor-boat has been deployed for the search operation, he said, adding, senior police and administrative officials from Haryana and UP have reached the spot.
