Life sentence for father for killing 2 daughters

The Mahila Court here today ordered a man to undergo double life sentence for killing his two daughters under the influence of liquor some 18 months ago.

The prosecution case was that Rajan, aged 35, a habitual drunkard, used to pick up quarrel with his wife under the influence of liquor.

On February 23, 2014, Rajan, after quarrelling with his wife, strangulated his two daughters--aged five and two--to death and took away the bodies in a bag to bury it.

Rajan managed to escape, leaving the bag there, when the public questioned about it. He was arrested four days later.
 

Delivering the judgement, judge N Sarvamangala ordered Rajan to undergo double life imprisonment for killing the chidren, which whould be run concurrently.
