Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said the state government has taken a number of decisions to uplift minority community.
Fadnavis, who attended the 'Iftar' party organised by Mumbai unit of BJP at Haj House here, said that the country cannot progress if any section of the society lagged behind.
He said the BJP government has taken a number of steps to uplift minority community during last one and half years.

"Be it in the field of education, skill development or others, our government has taken various decisions for benefit of our brethren from minority community in past one-and-half years," he said.
He said his government was trying to ensure that development reached those areas which have not witnessed growth.
On significance of Iftar party, the CM said, "The beauty of such occasions is that it brings people from different communities together and promotes brotherhood."
Iftar is the evening meal that the Muslims have at sunset after ending their Ramadan fast.
BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussian and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
