Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today directed the concerned authorities to make payment to contractors only after local people were satisfied with the civil works carried out in their localities.
Sisodia today visited several areas in his Patparganj constituency to inspect civil works - construction of drains, streets, among others - carried out by contractors.
During his visit, most locals were seen to be satisfied with the works, according to a video released by the Deputy Chief Minister on his Facebook page.
"After people's approval, the Deputy CM asked the authorities to make payment to the contractors," said a senior government official.
