Malayasia-bound air passenger held with heroin worth Rs 1 cr

A Malaysia-bound passenger was today arrested at the airport here for allegedly trying to smuggle Rs one crore worth of heroin.

Customs officials found Saeed Mohammed of Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu carrying one kg of the contraband in a registered package and recovered the drug from him, airport sources said.

The seizure was valued at Rs one crore in the intenational market, they added.
