West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Urs festival.
Banerjee wished the Muslims during her meeting with Moulana Noorur Rahman Barkati, Shahi Imam of the Tipu Sultan Mosque here.
On behalf of her government, she also handed over a 'chadar' to Barkati offering it to the Ajmer Sharif.
The chief minister expressed hope that her government would be able to come up with many more programmes to fulfil demands of the minorities, Barkati said after the meeting at the state secretariat.
