Man arrested for raping minor after promising to marry her

A 21 year-old-man was arrested today for allegedly raping a minor girl after promising to marry her, police said.

Prasanth, working for an automobile dealer in Madhavaram near here, was neighbour of the 15-year-old girl whom he allegedly raped multiple times after promising to marry her, police said.

Following a complaint lodged by the victim's father, Prasanth was arrested, police said.
