A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing mobile phones from metro commuters, police said today.
Yesterday, two persons registered separate complaints regarding theft of their mobile phones at Yamuna Bank Depot Metro station, they said.
The accused was identified as Shahid, a resident of Patparganj, the said police.

Accordingly, two FIRs were lodged and a police team was constituted, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Metro) Pankaj Kumar Singh said.
Staff was deployed at the metro station and the accused was arrested on the basis of suspicion during patrolling, he said.
"When he was searched, two mobile phones were recovered from his possession. During interrogation, the mobile phones were found to be stolen from metro trains," Singh said.
He said it was surfaced that the accused was previously involved in cases of theft and was actively operating in railway and metro stations.
