Man arrested with carbine rifle, live rounds

Barkat Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Chenabal in Mirgund area of Budgam district, was intercepted by police during naka checking at Narbal on the outskirts of the city, a police spokesman said.

A Carbine rifle, two magazines and 29 rounds were recovered from Hajam's possession.

A case has been registered in this regard at Parimpora police station, the spokesman added.
