Man coming from Bangkok found with 1 kg gold

A man who was allegedly trying to smuggle gold into India from Bangkok was arrested at the Kolkata airport here, police said today.

The incident happened last evening when the middle-aged man who returned from a flight from Bangkok was caught with 1 kg of gold tied onto his body at the airport here, they said.

He was been taken into custody and is being interrogated, police said.
