Man drowns in agri university swimming pool

A 21-year-old man today drowned in the swimming pool of the Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture here.

A police spokesman said Pankaj Pandey, who resided in Lakhanpur society and was a member of the pool, had gone to there to swim like any other day but drowned.

Those who came later, noticed an unattended bag at the pool and started looking for its owner.

When they searched in the water, Pankaj's body was recovered at seven feet in the pool, he said.

He was declared dead by doctors at a hospital.

Police said they have received no complaints from Pankaj's relatives against the instructor as of now.
 

The body has been sent for a post-mortem.
