Man gets life imprisonment for murdering wife, daughter

A local court today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife and teenaged daughter.

Additional Sessions Judge Sanjeev Agrawal handed down the life term to Dayashankar after finding him guilty of murdering his wife and daughter on April 22, 2013 on suspicion of their character.

According to the prosecution, Dayashankar had slit the throats of the victims.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on Dayashankar and prescribed additional imprisonment of three months in case of dafault by the convict.
