The district court here today sentenced a 36-year-old man to life imprisonment for robbing and murdering two women here in May, 2014.
Harisingh Nargawe was convicted of murdering Shakuntala Mishra (63) and Anita Dubey (50) on May 1 last year at a house in Bakhtawar Ramnagar here and looting jewellery and other valuables.
Prosecutor officer B G Sharma said that Sessions Judge Santosh Prasad Shukla also imposed a fine of Rs 2000 on Nargawe who is a welder by profession.
