Man hacks his mother to death

A 24-year-old man allegedly hacked his mother to death in Khaksira village in Redhar area of the district after she refused to give money to him, police said today.

Meena Devi (58) was hacked by her son Pradeep Kumar with an axe yesterday when she denied money to her son, they said.

The accused fled from the spot after committing the crime, police said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to nab him.
