Man held for sexual harassment of minor girl

The man, a percussion instrument 'thavil' artiste of Vattakadu near Anthiyur in the district, had sexually assaulted the 14-year old girl yesterday in his thatched shed.

She raised alarm following which the man ran away from the place.

After she informed her family members, they lodged a police complaint.

The man was arrested and produced before a magistrate court in Bhavani which remanded him to judicial custody for 15 days.
