Man held on suspicion of planning in-laws' murder

A 26-year-old man who was heading to Lucknow apparently to settle a dispute with his in-laws, has been arrested from the Anand Vihar ISBT and a pistol recovered from him, police said today.

Satyawan was arrested yesterday after he tried to evade the frisking process. When a police team overpowered him, they found a country-made pistol in his possession, DCP (East) B S Gurjar said.

During interrogation, it emerged that he was headed to Lucknow to settle some dispute between him and his in-laws, police said.

It is suspected that he had planned to kill them. Satyawan has been arrested under relevant sections of the Arms Act, police added.
