Man jumps off eight storied building

One person in his mid-30s today allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the terrace of an eight-storyed building in the northern part of the city today.

Joy Mukherjee, an employee of CESC Marketing Division reportedly jumped from the roof of an apartment at around 9.30AM, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.

Hearing the thud, security guards and others rushed to the spot and found him lying in a pool of blood, the officer said.

He was rushed to R G Kar Hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said adding that the man was identified by the identidy card inside his bag.
