Man killed, wife injured in road mishap

A person was killed while his wife was injured when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle here, police said today.

One Umesh, was killed last evening and his wife injured after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle at Bata Mod here, a police spokesperson said.

Mahesh, victim's brother, complained to police, following which a case has been registered in the matter. The truck driver absconded with his vehicle, he said, adding, the body has been sent for postmortem.
