A woman's paramour has allegedly stabbed to death four members of her family after they spotted them together in East Midnapore district, police said today.
Jharna Kuilya and her paramour Jagannath Kuilya were found together in a room in Kalika Kundu village last night following which an altercation broke out between Jagannath and Jharna's husband Ramprasad and other family members.
Jagannath stabbed Ramprasad to death. He also killed Ramprasad's mother Kalpana, son Tarun and daughter Nihari with the knife and fled from the scene, police said.
Jharna has been arrested and a search is on to nab Jagannath, they said.
