Four men allegedly looted Rs 9 lakh in cash from a private company's employee by attacking him with a knife near the State Bank of India's Polo Ground branch, police said here today.
They attacked Vinod Singh (33), in front of the branch with knives, Banganga police station in-charge Yogesh Singh Tomar said.
Despite being injured, Vinod managed to catch one of them who has been identified as Abrar (35) but others managed to escape along with the booty.
The employee had gone to the bank to deposit the cash, police said adding his condition is stable.
