Man moving about suspiciously near IB detained

A 30-year-old man, hailing from Kashmir, was detained for questioning after he was found moving suspiciously near the International Border in Akhnoor sector here, a police official said today.

Residents of Pargwal village here noticed the man moving around and got suspicious of his intentions, and informed the police, he said.

The man was taken into custody, the official said, adding that he was a resident of Srinagar.

"He is being questioned about his motive," he said.
