Man, nephew shot at in UP village

A 67-year-old man and his nephew were shot at and injured by two bike-borne persons near Naseerpur village here, police said today.

Sardar Baljit Singh Bajwa and his nephew Aman Randhawa were yesterday on their way to his farmwhen the two accused opened fire on them, SHO of Ramraj Police Station, Kamal Singh said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital in a serious condition, he said.

The reason behind the incident is not known yet, Singh said.

Aman is son of a retired superintendent of police in Punjab, Ajit Singh Randhawa.

A probe is on in the matter.
