A man was shot at by his younger brother today allegedly over a property dispute in Muradnagar area of the district.
Sunil, a resident of Ravli village, was shot by Rakesh , one of his four brothers who have been involved in a dispute over the family house for a long time, police said.
A special panchayat was held today to solve the property dispute, following which Sunil and Rakesh got into an altercation, they said.
Agitated Rakesh shot at his elder brother Sunil, police said, adding that the victim was rushed to Yashoda hospital where he is said to be in a critical condition.
According to the police Sunil's wife, Sarita has alleged that previously Rakesh had attempted to kill her husband.
